Under a bill signed into law, Western Michigan University, Department of Geosciences, is assuming responsibility for the survey.
This move makes WMU the designated geoscience agency in Michigan, with responsibilities for mapping and assessing the state's geological resources. We are very honored to be chosen.
We are pleased to share the latest issue of the newsletter where we have compiled information on what has been happening in the department as well as provide updates on many of our successful former students.
Internship
AGI seeks outstanding geoscience students (undergraduate or masters) with a strong interest in federal science policy for a semester or summer internship. Interns will gain a first-hand understanding of the legislative process and the operation of executive
branch agencies. They will also hone both their writing and Web publishing skills.
